On the verge of retirement, Frazar now in heaven

His wife went to the House that holds a letter that Saturday, fighting tears as he handed over an envelope from Augusta National, both of them realize it could be just one thing: the invitation to play in the Masters.

Become more meaningful considering Frazar on the verge of running away from the PGA Tour last year.

Frazar was 12 players at Kapalua that will make their debut in the Tournament of Champions when it begins Friday. Most of the others were in their 20s, had just begun.

What makes it amazing to Frazar is that only seven months ago, he was ready to quit.
